Eight new cases of COVID-19 are announced in Nova Scotia today (Monday). Four are in Nova Scotia Heaths Central Zone. Two cases are in the Western Zone — one is the school-based case reported Sunday evening at Berwick and District School, and the other is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada. The other two cases are in Eastern Zone — one is related to travel outside Atlantic Canada, and the second case is under investigation.
There are now 90 known active cases in the province. No one is currently in hospital with the disease.
Nova Scotia Health labs conducted 1,242 tests yesterday. No pop-up rapid testing was conducted yesterday.
