Once again , there is one new case of COVID-19 is announced in Nova Scotia today (Wednesday, Feb. 10).
And again, the single new case is in Nova Scotia Health’s Central Zone; but this time it is not related to travel but rather connected to a previously announced case.
There remain nine known active cases in the province. One person remains in hospital with the disease, and that person is in ICU.
The active cases are distributed as follows:
• 5 in the Halifax Peninsula / Chebucto Community Health Network in the Central Zone
• 2 in the Dartmouth/ Southeastern Community Health Network in the Central Zone
• 1 in the Annapolis and Kings Community Health Network in the Western Zone
• 1 in the Cape Breton Community Health Network in the Eastern Zone
Nova Scotia Health labs conducted 1,253 tests yesterday.
As of end of day yesterday, 20,013 doses of vaccine have been administered, and of those 5,900 have been second doses.
